Who We Are
I have been a breeder of Shepherds for 40 years. Many of those years I studied under my mentor Gerhardt who took me under his wing. Gerhardt was a breed warden in Germany and continued his work here in the United States. How lucky I was to have had such a mentor, he put the greatest care in his dogs and his breeding program. I think of him often. R.I.P my dear friend.
I welcomed Mr. Watt along with his Shiloh girls as partners. How lucky are we! Without him, I could not continue to do this physical challenging work, and his girls.... Highland Hill's progeny he brings to the table, perfect! To have such a dedicated partner that is hands on every day is priceless.

Our Shepherd's Program
Highland Hill's Shepherd's
To understand what a Shiloh Shepherd is, is to understand the importance of outcrosses, what they are, and how they came to be. Most importantly why they were used by our breed founder.
Like Tina, I see the bigger picture, and I know it is of great importance for the welfare of this breed to include outcrosses.
Patty of Shenandoah, an original successful breeder of Shilohs, also had the same insight into the importance of outcrosses. She bred Von Bruin’s Courage a GSD of type and produced Odin. Odin was something very special for sure, so Patty presented him to the National Shiloh Shepherd Breeders Register. It was agreed that Odin was a perfect example of what those foundation dogs were. It was also agreed that Odin would become part of Highland Hills. Now carrying a dual registration, Odin held AKC German Shepherd status as well as permanent registration from the National Shiloh Breeders Registry. It is important to remember without “outcrosses” of type in the Shiloh breed you would most certainly be faced with genetic defects.
Then came Shelby, another chosen outcross from the original breeders. Both were placed with Highland Hills for a reason. We could not be any prouder to have them. Any dog can be born Shiloh from Shiloh parents, but to be brought into the group, is exceptional!
Moving forward their contribution to the continuation of the Shiloh Shepherd is immeasurable.

About the Teddy Bear Shiloh's
Teddy Bear Shilohs are made by the exact same practices used in creating the Shiloh Shepherd dog. We do this by using like breeds to improve health, work, temperament size, and longevity.
Teddies, like the Shiloh's want to please, love and hang on every word, with eyes full of expression. They have huge hearts, and are wonderful secret keepers. They love to be loved and they give it freely. If you need their help, like the Shiloh Shepherd they will be there for you in a hurry no matter what.
These Teddy Bear Shilohs are faithful, loyal, whip-smart, and excel in all kinds of service work. Their super sized body is a fantastic deterrent to predators, and I Love that! They are peaceful loving dogs when raised properly just as the common Shiloh Shepherd dog. They love to meet new people, always giving their paw for a how do you do. They come in long, plush, and smooth coats and many colors like the common Shiloh's. Teddy Bear Shilohs are fantastic with the young and elderly.

With any breed smallest to largest you have a responsibility to train and socialize your puppy so he, or she can grow to be a respectable well Trained dog.

Trooper is a glorious Teddy Bear Shiloh. Best dog we've ever had. You warned me, and its true. People literally stop what they're doing to come meet him. He turns heads everywhere in public. Even has referees asking about him in the middle of a soccer matches. A 10 min. walk downtown takes 20 to stop and be admired.
